I wish I could give minus stars. This company always looks to rip off their clients. We had a pipe breakage in the basement and called every company in Saint John. They gave us the best price so we decided to go with their service. Two guys came in as opposed to one- because they can rip you off charging for two men's work. They went check the pipe and one of them tried to close the pipe tightening the bolt, which I even knew would not work because both ends of the bolt had big crack. This guy ended up BREAKING THE MAIN PIPE OFF AND OUR BASEMENT STARTED TO FLOOD LIKE CRAZY. Then they stood there "trying" to figure out what happened and how to fix it. They spent 15 minutes talking to each other and trying to close the breakage which obviously did not work because the water flow was incredibly strong. Then they decided to call the Saint John Water. By the way they were just so RELAXED AND LAID BACK during this flood emergency situation- my family members and I were busy trying to get the water in every large garbage bins and buckets in the house while they were talking to each other and busy calling and eventually we ASKED them to help us. JESUS! After 40 minutes of wait for the Saint John Water to shut off the water supply. We got frustrated and I called the office myself and they said they never received such order. MY GOD. I ask the guys and they said they know the service truck driver and they called him directly rather than through the office. So we ended up waiting another 20 minutes, with a FULL FOOT UP HIGH WATER in our basement. They said they are going to go back and get the water pumps and come back- which was absolutely ridiculous because just to get the tiny water pump they travel 40 minutes back and forth? They must have had such equipment ready in the truck. With everything they did they were so laid back, so slow, taking maximum possible time. The whole incident lasted for 4 hours.After all was said and done, they came back with the bill that said $550. ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS. It was them who made the basement to flood. It was them who wasted 40+ minutes traveling back and forth just to get the water pump. And they charged us for every single mistake they made and damage caused by them. It was OUR BASEMENT that got damaged. We fought over this many days, in person, by phone, email, etc. Eventually they took couple hours labour off from the bill- yet they still charged for the TWO MEN LABOUR for what should be simple one-man fix. So we essentially paid multiple folds of what we should have paid without the flood and two men pay. This company is absolutely fraud and I not only will not recommend their service, but I tell the people I know of their horrid service so people can avoid paying incredibly high cost and very possible damage to their households.
We've had nothing but complete professionalism, success and supreme service from Mike Parker and his crew from TerraEx Mechanical.
