Excellent! Best room we've had yet on our trip. Couldn't ask for more. Clean, comfortable bed, nice suite. Always love Holiday Inn Express hotels. Great price!
This is an excellent hotel! The service is amazing and the pool and hot tub is of exceptional quality. The hot tub is literally 5 feet and big enough to fit ten people. Pool is also heated. Free breakfast is good and even changes from day to day. Really enjoyed our stay and was given a room upgrade for our anniversary.
It's not a 5 star hotel but it isn't trying to be. For what it is trying to be, I give it 4.5 stars. The beds were nice. The interior decor is awesome. The breakfast was delicious. I just think that for 189$ I paid, I at least deserve bacon with my breakfast.
Great location, great room, excellent pool & hot tub. We went as a family with two young children and would definitely stay here again. Some of the food at the included breakfast in the lobby had been reheated one too many times, but the selection was nice at least. They could use a few extra luggage carts... one staffer told us they only had 2 because the things cost $1K each... considering how much we paid per night, I'm pretty sure Holiday Inn can afford a few more luggage carts because they were hard to get our hands on come check-out time. Oh, and there's a noisy train nearby that you hear regularly, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. We also asked for an "upper room" when we reserved, vs ground floor, but we were just on the 2nd floor facing a parking lot.
The holiday Inn express in saint john is exactly of the high quality you would expect. While the building itself looks slightly dated from the outside, the inside looks to have been recently refurbished. All of the facilities are there the rooms are fresh and the basement has a pool and gym. Not connected but immediately adjacent is the pub down under, literally under the hotel. A great hidden pub if you want food or a place to drink.
